Terms & Conditions
Operating rules for a safe and fair environment
By registering, paying, or participating in Academy activities, you unconditionally accept the following terms:
- Participation & Prepayment — All group lessons, private sessions, and subscription packages must be prepaid to secure your spot and ensure smooth organization.
- Proof of Payment — For every payment (subscriptions, lessons, equipment), an official receipt or invoice is issued. Prices include all applicable taxes (VAT).
- Behavior & Respect — A positive attitude, sportsmanship, and respect towards coaches, staff, and fellow skaters are required at all times.
- Liability & First Aid — Participation in activities is at your own risk (or the guardian’s). The Academy provides a fully equipped first-aid kit and certified first-aid personnel.
- Mandatory Protective Gear — Helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards are mandatory during all lessons.
- Arrival Time — Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the lesson start time for proper preparation and equipment fitting.

Privacy Policy (GDPR)
How we collect, use, and protect your personal data
Hermes Rollerskate Academy acts as a Data Controller and safeguards your personal data according to current European and national legislation.
- Data Collected — Full Name (skater & guardian), phone number, email, age/date of birth, training location, sports interests, equipment sizes, Tax ID/TIN (for invoices), and optionally SSN/AMKA (for sports/insurance coverage).
- Minors’ Data — Collection of data for children under 15 years old is strictly carried out under the explicit consent of a parent or guardian.
- Purpose of Use — Data is used exclusively for communication, class scheduling, issuing receipts/invoices, and managing memberships. It is never sold or shared with third parties.
- Photos & Videos — Capturing and publishing photos or videos from training sessions or events occurs only with separate written consent.
- Storage & Security — Data is securely stored (Google Workspace) and deleted after 2 years of inactivity or earlier upon your request (tax records exempted as required by law).
- User Rights — You have the right to access, rectify, erase ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, and request data portability at any time.
Cancellations & Refunds
Rules for cancellations, absences, and refunds
- Prepayment — Spot reservation for lessons, parties, or private events is confirmed only upon payment completion.
- Special Lessons / Workshops Cancellation (up to 4 days prior) — 75% refund.
- Special Lessons / Workshops Cancellation (up to 2 days prior) — 50% refund.
- Cancellation in less than 48 hours — No refund available.
- Unannounced Absences — 3 consecutive absences without prior notice result in the forfeiture of 1 prepaid lesson.
- Discount Policy — Discounts cannot be combined. Referral discounts remain valid as long as the referred friend remains an active member.

Safety Guidelines
Safety is our top priority
- Mandatory Protection: Helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards in every activity.
- Equipment Condition: Skates must be in excellent working condition (wheels, brakes).
- Health Disclaimer: Skaters/parents must inform the coach about any medical conditions, allergies, or physical discomfort.
- First Aid: Our coaches are First Aid certified and carry a fully equipped first-aid kit at every session.
- Weather Conditions: Outdoor lessons are postponed/rescheduled in case of rain, wet surfaces, or extreme temperatures (<5°C or >35°C).
- Adherence to Rules: Skaters must follow coaches’ instructions at all times to prevent accidents.

- Do I need to bring my own skates and gear?
- Not necessarily! We offer equipment rental/provision and can guide you on purchasing the right sizes.
- What happens if I miss a scheduled class?
- If you notify us at least 24 hours in advance, we will do our best to schedule a makeup class within the same month.
- Are receipts issued for payments?
- Absolutely! An official receipt or invoice is issued for every subscription, lesson, or equipment purchase.
- Can adults join the classes?
- Of course! We offer programs and classes for all age groups and skill levels.
- Are private lessons mandatory for complete beginners?
- For skaters trying rollerskating for the very first time, a few private sessions are strongly recommended for a safe transition into group classes.
